People's Health Centres

Ala Gram Panchayat is doing exemplary work in ensuring better primary health care services to the local people. A general picture of the public health facilities in the Panchayat is given below:

 

 

🏥 Family Health Centre (FHC, Ala)

It is the main public health centre in Ala Grama Panchayath (Pennukkara). The institution, which was formerly a Primary Health Centre (PHC), has been upgraded to a Family Health Centre (FHC) as part of the Ardram Mission.

  • ⏰ OP timings: It is functioning with better infrastructure by increasing the OP timings and making available the services of more doctors and paramedical staff.

  • 💊 Services available: Maternal and child care, free drug distribution, immunizations, epidemic prevention activities, and various lab tests are available here.

  • 🏠 People's Health Centres: People's Health Centres (Sub-Centres) are functioning under the Family Health Centre with focus on wards. These help in delivering health services directly to the common people.

  • 🩺 Health Surveys: Door-to-door health surveys and lifestyle diagnosis (diabetes, blood pressure, etc.) are coordinated by ASHA workers and midwives.

🌿 Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital

It is a premier public health institution that ensures traditional and side-effect free Ayurveda treatment facilities to the people of Ala Gram Panchayat.

  • 👨 ⚕️ Free OP Service: Patients are given check-up and treatment advice under the leadership of experienced doctors on a daily basis.

  • 🍃 Free Medicine Supply: Patients who come to Ayurveda OP are provided with quality Ayurvedic medicines free of cost through the hospital.

  • Krishi Bhawan is a major indigenous welfare institution that provides necessary guidance, benefits and agricultural development schemes to the farmers of Ala Gram Panchayat. This institute plays a crucial role in taking modern technologies to the common farmers along with promoting traditional farming techniques.

  • 📋 Key Features and Service:

  • 🌱 Benefits and Subsidies: Quality seeds, seedlings and bio-chemical fertilizers are supplied to the farmers at subsidized or free of cost through Krishi Bhavan.

  • 🚜 Agricultural Finance: The financial assistance schemes formulated by the government for various sectors such as paddy cultivation, vegetable cultivation, coconut cultivation and farmer pension and insurance are also coordinated from here.

  • 🔬 Soil Testing and Guidelines: Inspections to detect nutrient deficiency in the soil of the farmers and proper preventive measures against pests are provided under the leadership of the Agriculture Officer.

  • 🌾 Group Farming and Marketing: Krishi Bhavan provides support for formation of vegetable clusters and smooth marketing of produce with focus on wards as part of decentralized planning schemes.
